Guild Wedding Fayre - Sunday, 19 February 2012
A date for all Guild members to put in their diary.....and for couples getting married too!!
We have now confirmed the date for our annual Wedding Fayre being held at Chewton Place in Keynsham.
This will be on Sunday, 19 February 2012 from 12.30pm until 3.30pm with a fashion show currently anticipated at 2.00pm.
We look forward to seeing all Guild members at this event next February.

New Members
We would like to welcome Martin from Studiowise Photography as a new member to the Guild.

Dream Weddings Magazine - Bristol, Somerset & Wiltshire - Issue 23
The page entitled 'Trust the professionals' illustrates our successful first wedding fayre in February at Chewton Place in Keynsham, Bristol with photos taken courtesy of Karl at Aston Hue Photography.

The Royal Marriott Hotel, Bristol
With thanks to Sue Sullivan at The Royal Marriott Hotel on College Green, we will also be distributing our Guild leaflets in the goody bags at their summer wedding fayre on Sunday, 31 July 2011.
Some of our Guild members will also be attending this wedding fayre from 10.30 until 4.30.

The Guild Leaflets & Love Actually Wedding Fayres
Following talks with Love Actually Weddings, we are able to confirm that our Guild leaflets will now be distributed in the goody bags throughout all nine of the Love Actually Wedding Fayres taking place in our region during the summer and winter of 2011, thanks to Emma and Dave from Love Actually.

The Guild's Annual Wedding Fayre - Sunday, 6 February 2011
All thirty three Guild Members were present at our first wedding fayre held at Chewton Place in Keynsham, Bristol on Sunday, 6 February 2011 and what a great success it was!!
Guild Chairman, Andrew Baker said "We were delighted to see so many brides at our first show and now plan to make it an annual event. Next year it will be bigger and even better too as we are being approached by new members"
Well over 100 brides came through the doors at our Spring Fayre, with live music by Bath Spa String Quartet greeting them together with the talented Liz from Lyrica Singers. There was a glass of bubbly to welcome the visitors and also a goody bag and the chance to win some money-off vouchers in the free raffle.
'When planning your wedding...we've got the whole package' was absolutely spot-on, with services ranging from fabulous bridalwear to beautiful bouquets, vintage style wedding cars to handmade jewellery, caterers to photographers, balloons to chocolate fountains, ice sculptures to lingerie, wedding cakes to wedding venues, honeymoons, entertainment and wedding stationery.....and lots more!!
Our fashion show featured bridalwear and bridesmaids from Anne Harding Bridal in Stoke Bishop and Bride at Home in Downend and not forgetting the boys as menswear was also featured Anne Harding. Mother of the bride's were also present with beautiful outfits from Bakos Boutique in Westbury on Trym.

Our newly appointed Commitee
Established over twenty years ago by Christine Williams and her late husband, The Guild was formed to help those couples planning their wedding day.
Twenty years later, the Guild of Professional Wedding Services is still proactive in doing the very same thing by providing a 'one stop shop' for all wedding related requirements.
Throughout the years the Guild has had several Commitee Chairman's and also Committee members, all volunteers who are passionate to provide couples with quality and professional companies that are recognised as being some of the best in the business.
Just over a year ago, in May 2010, a new Commitee was elected following the resignation of Lucy from Solitaire Bridal who had been Chairlady for the past four years with Lucy now concentrating on expanding her own business.
The Committee is now headed by our new Chairman and previous Treasurer of the Guild, Andrew Baker. Our Vice Chairman is Mike Flute with Advertising & Public Relations Officer now elected as Ksenia Curtis and Membership Secretary elected was Jayne Hobbs.
The new Committee are dedicated to moving the organisation forward with fresh ideas and the recruitment of a number of new members.
A new website has been created detailing all Guild members with direct links through to their websites.
